"Family Matters" ran from December 1, 2006 - January 13, 2007 and featured prints, photography and installations by two emerging artists, Jung Min Lee, and Brittany Tate.

Both artists were MFA candidates at Cranbrook Academy of Art at the time of this showing. Jung Min Lee's featured works utilized printed and collaged media, sometimes reusing old prints, printing new images over them and collaging them back into her work. Her research questioned the endless competition between family members and friends, people whom we like and dislike, winners and losers.

Brittany Tate comes from a family with a passion for ballpark food, cheese sauce and fried foods. Growing up as a member of the Tate family, she engendered her excessive relationship with food and sports. Her featured self portraits and installations talked about the sociological connection of food to the family, indulgence, comfort and the euphoric qualities of food.
